TD Summer Reading Club
Launch Date: Saturday, June 21
 
Youth (birth to grade 12) can register to take part in the TD Summer Reading Club. Set a reading goal and receive a notebook to keep track of your summer reading.
 
Bring the notebook to the library with you through the summer to update your goal and receive ballots for prize draws. 
Wifi Hotspots
NEW! Wifi Hotspots now loan for 7 days.
 
If you need it for longer than 7 days, when checking out the device, please ask staff for a short loan extension.
Repair Cafe
Saturday, June 14, 1-4pm

Skilled volunteers are eager to fix your broken items for free, from clothing to household items. Enjoy refreshments, connect with your community, and save money while keeping items out of landfills. 
 
In partnership with the Georgian Bluffs Climate Action Team.

Waste Watchers Recycling Drop-Off
Drop off the following items at the Library to be picked up by members of Waste Watchers for recycling:
 
  • Make Up Containers: NO nail polish or aerosols
  • Old Socks: CLEAN orphan, holey, worn
  • Oral Care Items: CLEAN plastic toothbrushes, paste tubes and flosses
Items can be brought to staff at the Circulation Desk.
Honour with Books
Help support and build the Library's collection through Honour with Books. Books can be plated to acknowledge the honouree and donors can select specific titles or areas of the collection to support.
 
Looking for an end of year gift for your child’s teacher? Honour with Books can be a great way to say thank you.
 
Donations can be made in the Library or through CanadaHelps.

Online Resource Feature:
Online Author Talks
This free, virtual series takes place 2-3 times a month and includes the opportunity to submit questions to the author.
 
Upcoming authors include: Lisa Jewell, Katherine Applegate, Marie Lu, and Casey McQuiston.

Little Explorers Kits
Heading out to the park, or conservation area? Pick up a Little Explorers Kit, complete with National Geographic Bug Habitat and collecting tools, compass, portable microscope and a nature activity guide. All housed in a handy backpack. Get more from your time outdoors this summer.

Welcome Laura Yeo
We'd like to welcome our newest library staff member - Laura Yeo. Laura will be with us for the next 3 months as our Summer Programs Coordinator. Currently in her sixth year of a bachelor of arts and science with concurrent education, she is looking forward to starting her career as an elementary teacher next April. 
 
Laura will be working to support Youth Services staff with programming all summer long: TD Summer Reading Club, Wacky Wednesdays and Textile Tuesdays to name a few.

Join us for free weekly programs for kids in grades 1-5 from 2:00 - 3:00 pm. Registration is required.

Story Tent

Join us for outdoor summertime early literacy and fun at Story Tent held at Queen's Park, across the street from the Library! Enjoy crafts, stories, songs, and activities  for children ages 0-6 and their caregivers, in partnership with Tammy Cruickshank, Early Years Literacy Facilitator. In case of inclement weather, Story Tent will be in Youth Services. Drop-in.
