Immerse yourself in a world of poetry and art at The Poet Laureate’s Community Revue! This free, weekend-long event showcases the power of collaboration, with a multi-arts exhibit opening Saturday, November 22 and an exclusive matinee performance on Sunday, November 23 at the Harmony Centre. Get ready to be inspired!

Drop in to browse and buy. Nearly new, used, paperbacks, fiction, non-fiction, young adult, children’s books, DVDs and specially priced items available! Cash, debit and credit cards accepted. Please help out by bringing your own shopping bag.
Community Art Showcase
Want to display your work?
 
The Library offers an opportunity for local visual artists to display their work.  Artists or groups interested in displaying their work must complete the application form linked below and read and agree to the Library policy.
 
Accepted art will be displayed on a Gridwall triangle mobile tower (2 x 2 x 6 ½ ') for a 2-month period and must be provided to the Library in a format that is suitable for hanging. 
Valentines for Veterans
This Remembrance Day season, thank Canadian Veterans by making them a hand-made valentine.  Return your card to Youth Services staff and we’ll send it to Veterans Affairs Canada, who will mail out the cards for Valentine’s Day 2026.
 
Supplies available in Youth Services from November 1 to 10.
LEGO Building Competition
Creation Drop Off: Tuesday, November 4 from 5:30 pm -7:30 pm
 
Children and families are invited to the Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library for a LEGO® Building Competition! Test your skills against competitors in the same age category or build together as a family for your chance to win fabulous LEGO® prizes.

This kit contains: 1 Kodak Carousel 4600 projector, 1 slide tray, 1 lens and 1 plastic carrying case.  Additional slide trays are available to borrow.

Open for JK - Grade 8 & Family Builds

Come build together in preparation for the Library’s LEGO Building Competition. Using the Library’s LEGO collection, let your imagination run wild! Participants are encouraged to submit
their creations for judging.

Please note: If you are unable to attend a program you have registered for, provide a minimum of 24 hours notice by phone or by email. A no-show fee of $2 per child will apply for each program.

Community, Power, and the Search for Indigenous Identity with Award-Winning Journalist Joseph Lee

In it, he explores Indigenous identity in proximity to land that serves as an iconic vacationing spot for the wealthy–the “island paradise” Martha’s Vineyard.
